We have unique access to the remaining stocks of discontinued components that were used in the original UREI 1178. Therefore, we were able to rebuild the signal processing chain 100%.
Beyond the faithful replication, we added an onboard M/S-L/R switch, which is paired with separate attack & release controls. It also has a mix knob and a sidechain HPF - the must haves for today's production.
Our "not-settling-down" makes it possible to utilise the compressing power of 1178 (which masters have been loving for decades), meanwhile apply a modern day workflow for modern genres.
