Following the successful launch of the ci140 and ci140sub at CEDIA 2019, PMC will complete its offering of slimline, high-performance on-wall and in-wall custom installation speakers with the addition of the ci30, ci45, ci65 and ci90slim.

Smallest in the range, the ci30 is designed for discreet applications and can be installed in-ceiling or in- or on-wall. Although it’s compact, the ci30 delivers powerful sound thanks to the proprietary ATL technology, which makes it a good choice for surround channels, including immersive formats like Dolby Atmos and stereo in smaller rooms.

The ci45 has a larger cabinet meaning that it delivers the same power as the ci30 but provides a greater image depth, bass extension and dynamism.

The ci65 goes a step further in performance by adding a second, long-throw 130mm bass driver, giving increased headroom and extension. This speaker is ideal for use in medium to large sized home cinema rooms for all channels in a multi-speaker system.

With wall construction in mind, the ci90slim is designed to fit neatly between studwork to provide more flexibility as a retrofit option. The ci90slim is encased in a long, slim cabinet, measuring 11-in wide, and gives the same performance as the ci30 and ci45.

The four new models are designed with a shallow depth for mounting on the wall or in-wall. For on-wall mounting, an optional mounting sleeve is available to fit around the cabinets to conceal the in-wall mounting system.

PMC has ensured the new speakers are ‘installer-friendly’ by working closely with installers on the new ci range. Using PMC’s Qikfire spring loaded mounting system, the speakers are simple and quick to install using a screwdriver and also allows micro adjustments post installation.

Mounting the speaker on the wall is also very simple using the optional interlocking wall bracket, which is designed to offer pin-point level adjustment.

All four speakers feature the PMC developed drive units; the 5.25-in LT woofer and the longer throw and higher power handling LTx both use a natural fibre dished cone and inverted dust cap to reduce unwanted high frequency reflections.

The ci series cabinets are enclosed at the rear to help reduce sound leakage to adjoining rooms, meaning it is not necessary to rely on the cavity construction of the wall to enhance the sound.

The new speakers are only available in black with square perforated bezel-less metal grilles, which come in black or white.
