The D.W. Fearn VT-2 is a powerfully versatile preamp that combines classic tube warmth with modern performance. High fidelity is the name of the game for all D.W. Fearn products, and the VT-2 delivers on that promise thanks to its compromise-free design, hand-wired circuitry, and vacuum tubes selected for maximum sonic clarity.
PREMIUM TUBE COMPONENTS AND DESIGN
The VT-2 features an all-vacuum tube design inspired by classic units of the 1950s and 60s, with each tube tested for the lowest possible internal noise and microphonics. The unit also sports custom-made Jensen input and output transformers to elevate and enhance even the quietest signals. The front panel switches even utilize sealed gold-contact precision relays—a step that prevents dirty contacts and further preserves your sound quality for years to come.
EASY AND RELIABLE CONTROLS
Whether you want a subtle clean boost or a saturated punch, the VT-2’s straightforward control scheme will help you get there. Along with independent Input, Attenuation, and Phase controls for both channels, the unit also offers +48 volt phantom power and an integrated, switchable 43 dB pad for Line Level processing.
