SSL 12 is a 12-in/8-out USB bus-powered audio interface that enables you to get studio-quality audio into and out of your computer with minimal fuss and maximum creativity. Building upon the success of SSL 2 and SSL 2+, SSL 12 gives you more. More I/O, more performance and more versatility. SSL 12 is fully integrated with SSL 360° software: Your SSL Control Room. Here you can assign monitor controls, create multiple independent headphone mixes, choose your Loopback source, customise the 3 front panel user-buttons and much more. SSL 12 presents a combination of professional features and workflow never seen before in a portable desktop interface.
Class-Leading Mic Amps
The SSL 12 is equipped with two high-performance SSL-design microphone preamps delivering a massive 62 dB gain range, in conjunction with class-leading 116.5 dB dynamic range and -130 dBu EIN. The mic pre's can also operate in LINE mode for connecting synths or INSTRUMENT mode for connecting guitars/basses.
Professional-Grade Outputs
Located on the rear of the SSL 12 are balanced Left/Right outputs for connecting your studio monitors. With professional-grade monitor outputs, the SSL 12 delivers a 120 dB dynamic range, allowing you to hear every detail in your productions—from the most subtle riff to the deepest bassline. All outputs are DC-coupled, enabling you to send CV (control voltages) to synthesisers.
Dual Headphone Outputs
The SSL 12 features dual headphone outputs conveniently located on the front panel. These re-engineered outputs (featuring high-current NJM headphone amps) are capable of driving any type of headphones, from small in-ear monitors to large-diaphragm models.
